Kevin Tobin is a documentary filmmaker, video producer, and film curator living in occupied Massachusett territory (Boston). His work centers on racial and economic justice, anti-imperialism, and education.
Currently, Kevin is working on The Story of Wealth, a hybrid docu-series that traces the origins, trajectories, and links between US imperialism and inequality. The film is in post-production, and has received major funding from Decolonizing Wealth Project, along with artistic support from Points North Institute, LEF Foundation, IFFBoston, and Salem Film Fest. Additionally, Kevin curates films for Third Cinema Collective, a free screening series of the anti-imperialist catalogue in the Boston area.
Professionally, Kevin serves as a Lead Video Producer for the office of Experiential Digital Global Education (EDGE) at Northeastern University. For select clients, he can contracted as freelance video producer, director, and editor under his DBA, 31 Productions. He’s performed start-to-finish work for companies and organizations such as Brandeis University (Admissions, Institutional Advancement, International Business School, Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Institute for Economic and Racial Equity), NOBULL Project, Institute for Policy Studies (Program on Inequality, The Jamaica Plain Forum), WGBH Boston, Pearson Education, McGraw-Hill Education, Wiley, and more.
